The Honduran VP Ricardo Álvarez Arias visited AMREC at its event in Miami, designed to encourage innovation and entrepreneurship. The two parties discussed opportunities available to AMREC in Honduras and how AMREC can contribute to energy production in the Central American Republic. Mr. Arias indicated his country’s intentions to sign a power purchase agreement with AMREC.
Honduras consumes just over 7 billion kWh per year and 34% of that energy is produced by renewable sources. AMREC is prepared to meet all of the growing market energy demands in Honduras.
